Termites

Termites:
One of the most prominent expressions of my topical work has to do with the termite – which during a long time of my work in restauration of furniture was only victim of my work. For 20 years I wanted “to save the whales and killed the termites”.
Today, really embarassed about my former voluntary separation, I am in the position to provide the justified appreciation to the supposed plague. I started to realize and acknowledge the amazing artistic talents of these small creatures.
With each mounted panel I apologize and eternalize a posthumous tribute.

Cupim: uma das expressões mais fortes do meu trabalho atual é o cupim que durante muito tempo de restauração era vítima das minhas ativitades. Durante 20 anos queria salvar as baleias e matava os cupins. Hoje profundamente constrangido sobre minha visão segredista posso dar os supostos pragas a atenção merecida.
Comecei a ver como é maravilhosa a capaçidade artística destes pequenhos seres.
Com cada painel que monto peço desculpas e eternizo uma homenagem póstuma.

Termiten machen im Moment einen der wichtgsten Aspekte meiner Arbeit aus.
Während der Jahre meiner Möbelrestaurationsarbeiten waren sie immer Opfer meiner Aktivitäten. 20 Jahre lang wollte ich “die Wale retten und tötete dabei die Termiten”.
Heute, einigermaßen reuig über meine ehemals willkürliche Aburteilung, bin ich in der Lage den vemeintlichen Schädlingen die verdiente Aufmerksamkeit zu widmen. Ich begann zu erkennen, wie wundervoll die künstlerischen Talente dieser kleinen Wesen sind.
Mit jedem neu montierten Panel bitte ich um Entschuldigung für vergangene Taten und verewige eine posthume Huldigung.
